Dr. Sanju Unnikrishnan is a Consultant Urologist with specialized expertise in endourology, minimally invasive urological surgery, reconstructive urology, and andrology. He has extensive training and experience in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of urological conditions affecting the kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate, and male reproductive system.

Professional Profile
I commenced my medical education from the prestigious Stanley Medical College, Chennai affiliated to Dr. MGR Medical University. This is where I gained my MBBS and began my work in health sector. I was also fortunate enough to undertake and complete my Post Graduation in General Surgery from the renowned Madurai Medical College. After finishing my Post Graduation, I pursued my Superspecialisation in Urology from the Institute of Urology, Madras Medical College and RGGGH.
I also had the opportunity to assist and work in number of renal transplant cases during my tenure as a resident both live and deceased donor transplant.
Post MCh, I underwent Robotic Surgery Observership at CURI (Chennai Urology & Robotic Institute) Hospital, Chennai for 2 months under Dr. Ananthakrishnan Sivaraman.
Following which I joined as Consultant Urologist at MIOT International Hospital, Chennai in February 2024. I worked under Prof. Dr. R. Manikandan. Here I am currently doing variety of endourological and minimally invasive procedures and have assisted more than 100 renal transplant surgeries and number of reconstructive urological procedures on both Indian and foreign national patients.
